Spring is a great time of year. Winter hunting dogs are getting their break in routine and our test dogs are gearing up for hunt test season. Some of our dogs get the benefit of both! Even though some of our dogs are currently not hunting ready, we train all year round for hunt test season.
It all starts with building drive. From the first week we bring the dog home, we begin to build the prey drive and the drive to retrieve. We want puppies to ENJOY what they do. We want them to live for the next retrieve so that work is not working it is pure fun.
